Doc and Carlos bring the Chinese girl into the ER and give Morales all the medical information. They then usher the mother and sisters into the waiting room, and then call in to get another assignment.
Ty and Sully are at the stairs of an apartment building, and Sully is complaining about having to go up and down stairs all day. Ty tells him its good exercise and Sully comes back with, "Thats why everyone keeps mistaking me for Jack LaLanne." And Ty is all, "Who is that?" Duh! I grew up in the tri-state area, and there was a big chain of fitness centers named after the man! I guess the writers are trying to show the age gap between the two of them, but they really should have used someone other than a cultural icon like Jack LaLanne. Hell, I just saw the guy on Good Morning America a few months ago. Anyway, a woman sees them and calls them over to tell them there was a loud noise, like an explosion, from Mr. Knights apartment across the hall. She then tells them that Mr. Knight is a big drinker because he stumbles in late at night, and he has no friends and he doesnt seem to have a job. Sully asks her if she knocked on his door to ask about the noise, and she tells them she doesnt want to seem nosy. Oh, the comedy! Not. So they go across the hall and knock on the door.
Bosco and Yokas drive up to a car in a parking lot, and it looks like an old Mustang. They get out of their car and walk over and look into the car, and they see a man behind the wheel who looks dead. Yokas thinks that its a lousy way to die, and I think that Bosco must still be drunk because he has the flaps of his hat pulled down over his ears so he looks like an evil Elmer Fudd, and he blurts out, "What, are you kidding? This is a GTO!" Oh, okay. Yokas meant that it would be lousy to die all alone, but since the guy bit the dust in a classic car, it makes it so much better. Someone remind me when Im in my later years in life to go get myself a classic car and give everyone directions: if it looks like Im about to die, put me in the car and park it in an empty parking lot, because that would be the "cool" way to go. So Yokas knocks on the window of the car, and she gets no reaction from inside. Bosco opens the car door, and the guy wakes up and starts yelling and jumps out of the car. He asks them what they want, and Yokas tells him he looked dead and asks if he is all right. He tells her he was fine until he was woken up from a good sleep. They find out that the man has just been living in his car. Bosco asks if his car is a 66. The guy tells him its a 67 and gives him details about the engine. Then he tells Bosco to keep his hands off his car. Ha! Tell him, old homeless guy!
