Cut to Kim and Bobby taking an old lady out of their ambulance on a stretcher into the emergency room, and Dana is standing there waiting for them. Kim asks, "Guess who's waiting in the dock -- does she look mad to you? She looks mad to me." Why do the women have to ask the men if people look mad or pissed off? So anyway, Bobby is all "Hey, Dana," and Dana cuts him off with, "Not another word, Bobby," and Bobby says, "I was going to call you," and then Dana slaps him and walks away, and Kim goes, "Ouch! That's gotta sting!" And I just want to know what the hell he did to her. I need to watch some romantic dramas to see what kind of stories the writers might have stolen.
Cut to Sullivan and Ty going to the aid of Jerry, and Sullivan tells Ty to stay in the car until backup arrives, and of course Ty doesn't listen and he goes in and runs up the stairs to try to catch the gunman, and Sullivan goes in after Ty. While running up the stairs, Ty drops his nightstick. Why do these guys keep dropping stuff while chasing someone? Didn't they learn to run with their equipment in the academy? So anyway, Ty ends up running up to the roof of the building. Sullivan catches up with Ty and asks if he saw the guy run up to the roof. Ty said no, the door was open so he just assumed the guy was up there. Sullivan radios that they're on the roof and that they've lost the suspect, and then he goes off on Ty, asking him if he thinks that after eight hours of being on the job he is a pro or something, and that he could have gotten himself killed, and Ty shoots back, "You're not my father!" and Sullivan is all, "No! I'm your partner! And I'm not about to call your mother and tell her you're dead! I made that call once already." Woo hoo! A new plot twist -- the newbie is the son of the guy's dead partner! I'm floored! I don't know what to say, except "whatever."
Cut to the ambulance with Jerry in it, and he's bleeding all over and what have you, and they wheel him into the emergency room and Dana says, "We'll take care of him now," and everyone in the cast is in the room and looking very concerned, and while Bosco looks around for something to bang his fists on, the screen says:
TO BE CONTINUED ON SUNDAY
I think I'll need some hard liquor to be able to sit through the conclusion.
