Sarah goes to a newsstand to pick up a few magazines and is bombarded with Leya’s face on all the covers. Sarah sees Scraggle loading equipment and asks flirtatiously what he’s doing. Scraggle tells her in the briefest way possible that he and J.B. are starting up a D.J. business. "You’re gonna have your own business? You know what, good luck," Sarah says pitifully and walks away. What, is she envious of everyone who has their stuff together? Grow up, Sarah.
Cecilia arrives late at Dr. Andy Bing’s office, apologizing. Andy tells her it’s okay and then catches sight of what Cecilia is wearing: a black turtleneck, black jacket and her hair gelled flat to her head. "Wow," Andy gasps. Cecilia tells him that heels and nylons slow her down. Andy asks her to find a kid’s file while he checks on another patient. Cecilia looks down at a little boy and asks, "What, are you scared?" The cute little boy with spiky hair and big ears (who’s now in that hysterical cheese ad) says, "Yeah," tearfully. Cecilia tells him that braces aren’t a problem unless you get a mouthful of sores and can’t eat because of the pain or a wire jabs you in the cheek. The kid runs back to his mother, shrieking, "You said it wouldn’t hurt, Mom!" just as Andy walks out. The good doctor asks what’s going on and Cecilia says, "Not a clue." Andy looks as though he wants to say something but can’t quite get it out, so he asks for Aubrey’s file again.
J.B. is at his hair-washing job, and Sophie walks in and asks if he’s busy. Of course he’s not, and Sophie tells him that she thought of a name for "the business." J.B. doesn’t look very intrigued. "The Rhythm Factor!" Sophie announces. J.B. still doesn’t look intrigued. "You hate it," she says. J.B. finally snaps out of it, "No, no. Um, The Rhythm Factor, that’s pretty good. So did Maguire like it?" Sophie says she hasn’t actually said anything to him yet and then pauses. J.B. asks if there is something wrong. "Can I ask you something? All right, I just need to know, see every time I’m around you, I get the feeling that you’re looking at me. You know, checking-me-out looking at me," Sophie says. J.B. starts to apologize. "So you have been checking me out," Sophie concludes. J.B. rushes to explain, "Well, not like in a creepy way. And anyway you’re dating Maguire, so --" Sophie tells him that they are "hanging out," not dating. J.B. says that Scraggle doesn’t see it that way, and Sophie says that Scraggle’s a nice guy and everything, but when she gets around J.B. she gets this, "Ungh! [She says this while biting her lip and looking J.B. up and down.] And I’d kind of like to pursue that." She wants to pursue the "ungh?" Yeah, so it can turn into, "Oh, oh, OH, YES! YES! YES!" J.B. looks down in an "aw, shucks" kind of way.
