I am thankful that we didn't have to listen to everyone saying what they are thankful for, because I am sure Sarah would have been thankful for all the males she had lured to her table. Tony comments how the sausage stuffing is "un-freakin'-believable," and both Sarah and Spencer say "thank you" at the same time. Really, what was Sarah thinking to say "thank you" to that? Reminder: you didn't make anything! Spencer tells Sarah that he loves what she's wearing, and then he and Tony compete to see who can compliment Sarah more. I won't describe it further, because it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Sarah, after letting them go on for awhile, finally interrupts and asks if anyone wants more food. Sarah pointedly asks Scraggle if he enjoyed his food, and he responds, "Very much, thank you," and Sarah looks disappointed at the brevity of his statement (probably because he didn't go out of his way to say how wonderful and beautiful she is). Sarah then moves on to Jerry (ha! they have Jerry andMaguire at that same table. Get it? Jerry Maguire? Okay, well it amused me slightly) and asks him if he liked his food. He says, "Well, this is the best meal I've had in years and years," which makes everyone at the table look thoughtful, and Tony says, "I was going to say that."
All the boys are on the couch watching a football game, making comments while drinking their beer. Even Jerry says, "They blow!" Sarah is in the kitchen trying to get her suitors' attention (happily absent in this scene) for help in the kitchen with the clean-up. Tony finally volunteers, and Scraggle looks intrigued. Sarah tells him that she will wash and he can dry, and Tony tells her she needs gloves to protect her "beautiful" hands, because his mother has "got mitts like a Platypus." I've said it before, and I will say it again -- someone at Fox is reading my site. Tony kisses her hands and says, "I will put a rock on this one so fast." Sarah stops him, and Tony says that he knows how she feels about him and he is fine with it, "for now." Sarah tells him they can't be friends, because he thinks her feelings are a "for-now thing" when they're really a "never" thing. Tony says he should go, and Sarah tells him to stay for pie, but Tony says he's "on the verge of spilling" and he kind of wants to leave her with the idea that he's a tough guy. Sarah says she'll wrap up some pumpkin pie, and she's about to when Spencer drags her into one of the many bedrooms that were built after the premiere of the show to kiss her. Sarah tries to interrupt, but Spencer doesn't let her, goes on about waiting for "the other three" to leave, and kisses her again, saying, "Mmm, you taste like cloves. That caterer was good!" Sarah gives Spencer the skinny on what's up between the two of them. Sarah says that they need to get on "the friends track." Spencer says he has enough friends. She tells him that he wants to sleep with her but not be friends with her. Spencer says, "That's too cut-and-dried," and tries to explain, but Sarah tells him to leave. And he does. Without any pie.
