Lee patches the ceiling with drywall mesh tape. He seems to be stopping there. First of all, those holes are too big to just cover with mesh. Second, when you cover something with mesh, you then put joint compound over it. He tells Kia -- who's got her head under the sink with Hitchcock stuck in there, too -- that he's done and asks what's next. She tells him that what's next is the wallpaper border. She chortles to herself, "He thought I wasn't getting it in." Yeah, well, hope springs eternal. She's finished knocking the sink loose and Gabe helps her up.

Commercials. Fuck off, Land Rover.

Hildi spreads out the pink python vinyl in the room. On my TV, it clashes terribly with the fuchsia walls. That'll be quite an eyesore, though that seems to be Hildi's goal for at least half her rooms. She says she doesn't have enough to cover the back of the couch with vinyl, so they'll use the leftover velvet there. Given that it's going to be against the wall, I can't believe she's concerning herself at all with what the back looks like.

Kia and Gabe remove the sink, and then Lee comes over to help them pull off the countertop.

MPDP helps Michael unwrap a giant piece of foam, and asks where it's going. Hildi says it's for the sofa. MPDP: "What's going on the floor?" Hildi: "Foam." Amy: "Not this foam, other foam." Michael: "More foam, so much foam..." Frink: "It's going to be like Nerfland in there." Me: "For drag queens. Then again, no self-respecting drag queen would be caught dead in this room." MPDP encounters a little gravity storm and nearly falls on her ass.

Kia and Lee cut out the hole for the sink in the new countertop.

Hildi's team spreads out the vinyl on the sofa seat. Hildi insists on calling it "leather." Silk purse, sow's ear, what's the diff?

Kia and Lee test-fit the sink. They're pretty close.

MPDP whines about wanting to see what the back looks like with the sofa before she leaves. Hildi and her team are busy with the bottom and point out that the thing is too heavy for MPDP to lift on her own. She pronounces the sofa "awesome" and decides to flop down on it. It seems to have almost no give whatsoever. Mmm, comfy. Careful you don't break your chin, there, Mip.

Lee and Kia set the sink into the new countertop, which is sort of a mottled, pebbly-looking laminate in dark greys. The sink fits. They exult.

Amy attaches light fixtures to the track. They rave about the track lighting.
