As Frank's team ties the slipcover onto the ottoman -- and note that it doesn't really sufficiently cover the ottoman -- we get a shot of another, much smaller ottoman, which has yet another piece of this red fabric tied over the top of it, with big floppy bows at each corner. But you can still see the bottom half of its original beige, tailored skirt! What's up with that? It looks ludicrous. Frank says he's not going to bring it into the room, but he made a "top" for it anyway, in case they wanted to bring it in. Whatever.
Laurie gets Carter to hang the light at the height she wants.
Frank and MPDP make art. Is there a scarier phrase in the English language? Well, probably, but given that I have broken molar and have just sold my house, I don't think I can manage to contemplate anything more intense than that. It seems to be some project where they write little notes and frame them. I can't follow it at all, and I don't think MPDP is following it, either.
Carter fastens the new doors onto the entertainment centre. Brian high-fives him, and then Carter and Tracee high-five. Tracee pulls all three of them into a hug. Bet we'll be seeing a lot of Carter getting hugged and pawed.
Frank says something about letters in Victorian times. As he's explaining this to her, MPDP's chair starts to collapse or something. Frank steadies the chair as MPDP giggles.
Carter and Brian slide the sheet of Plexiglas into the top of the coffee table.
Frank asks MPDP about the spelling of Tracee's name. That she is named Tracee and not Stacey is complete news to MPDP. She laughs, embarrassed that she's been calling her "Stacey" through the whole shoot: "Why didn't she ever correct me?" Frank: "Because she's probably a nice person and doesn't want to make you appear foolish." Yeah, MPDP's got that covered, anyway. She explodes with nervous laughter: "Oh, my gosh! So it's Tracee? And is it Brian? And it is Steve and Julie, right?" Frank just looks bemused as MPDP laughs: "Oh, we've done so many homes!" She asks Frank again: "Is it Tracee, for sure?"
Carter and Brian fasten the rest of the framework onto the top of the coffee table.
Frank and his team are hanging the curtains, which have been hemmed, but look kind of stiff and uneven at the bottoms. MPDP wanders in holding a big dark blue fabric Tootsie Roll. Well, actually, it's her idea of a lumbar pillow. It's a roll of fabric tied at the ends like a Christmas cracker. Uh, very attractive. She holds it out to Frank. She says it's stitchless 'cause she hates to sew, and she tosses a pillow off a chair and puts hers in its place. Frank humours her: "How perfect is that?" MPDP: "Really? You're gonna keep it for real?" Frank says he is as she comes skipping at him and gives him a hug. Frank: "Gosh. What would I get for a sofa?"
