We get the thirty-second condensation -- including MPDP breakdancing on her back on the carpet, and Frank holding up a little plaque that says, "We'll be friends 'till we're blue in thee hair" -- and then MPDP brings in Gayla and Andrea. MPDP's hugging them both close, and mom and daughter are holding hands. Gayla thinks she's in her laundry room; MPDP assures them that they're not. No fanfare, just, "Open your eyes!" They do: Andrea squeals first; then Gayla shouts, "Oh my God, I love it!" They're both freaking out on a level just short of having won the lottery. I am, not to put too fine a point on it, mystified. ["They're from Texas. That's the only explanation I can offer. No offense to our Texan readers, but these ladies were stereotypical Texas to me." -- Kim] Gayla says she's going to faint. Andrea cries, "Look at the arch!" Then she points out the big sunburst, but Gayla doesn't look up. Andrea's squealing in such a way that I can't even really make out what she's saying, although I believe it's something about how she's gonna cry. Gayla looks close to collapse. Andrea turns around and notices the pear painting on the door to the garage. She and Gayla go on clapping their hands and exclaiming; Andrea notices the faux tablecloth, and then the carpet, and the floor. Gayla remarks that her neighbours must have worked their buns off. She can't believe it. She's just noticing the counters when Andrea sees Carla and Paige coming in and starts screaming. They all hug each other, and there's a lot of chatter and commotion, and Gayla looks like she's nanoseconds from her knees buckling and completely giving out on her. I never would have predicted this reaction (but I didn't expect them to cry, either). MPDP wraps it up with thanks to everyone and Gayla calls out, "We love you!" All's well that ends...well, I guess.
The little outtakes at the end include Gayla and Gen working on the lamp; Gayla says she likes Vern. Well, who doesn't? Gen says she loves Vern. Gayla then either says "He's fine" or "He's a fox" (no closed captioning so I can't be sure). ["I thought she said, 'He's buff.' Either way, I think her meaning is clear." -- Kim] Gen cracks up.
