It's nighttime in the crowded Great Northern lounge, and Yoko Blackburn walks in alone and tells the bartender, "I would like something to drink, but I'm not exactly sure what." That, by the way, is barfly talk for, "Proof me, asshole." Okay. She just crash-landed on this planet and boy are her arms tired and we get it. From the back door of the place, Cooper stops a perfectly delightful conversation about his findings at Owl Cave with a happily-resurgent Diane (yay!) when he spots his lady love across the room. He approaches the bar and offers to buy her a drink, which he sees she already has. Banter about how Unfrozen Caveman Fallen Nun doesn't understand these wacky customs, and Cooper tells her that he wishes he could see the world through her innocent eyes. But how innocent are they? She catches him looking at the scar on her wrist, and she comes clean: "See, I've failed before, and I'm just afraid it will happen again." Cooper offers to talk about it, and she tells him that she's not ready just at the moment. She tells him that she's stubborn and willful and strange, and when he is way too nice to her, she puts her hand in his and tells him, "Then I accept your kind and generous offer." Awwww.

And, finally, Earle walks alone through Owl Cave, notes the symbol on the wall, cryptically notes, "The symbol inverted!" He twists the lever (how did the symbol end up on a lever) around and laughs maniacally, and moves out of the way just in time for the cave to collapse in on itself and the closing-credit title to fade up. The symbol inverted? That's the closing line? Ooooh. Come, next week! Don't delay!
