Cheyenne storms in the front door and runs upstairs. Ripley follows her to her bedroom. She's crying because Spence dumped her. Ripley acts like he doesn't remember who she's talking about.

Downstairs, Natalie tells Jack that it was really nice of him to offer to help his dad. He seems hurt that he was rebuffed, and leaves the dinner table.

Back upstairs, Ripley tells Cheyenne that she will find the right guy one day. She says she didn't think that he would understand. He replies that he does understand, more than he wishes sometimes.

The next day, at the grocery store, Peter continues his stalking of Natalie. He's all, "Hey, it's the lady from the neighborhood." He says she doesn't look as happy today. Natalie addresses the fact that he just showed up front of her house asking her questions and telling her she's not happy, but she assures him that she is in fact happy. She just has a headache. Peter apologizes for being inappropriate and suggests that she press her thumbs into her temples to help her headache. It's getting very flirty up in the produce section. She pushes her cart away and jams to "SOS" by Rihanna. That didn't really happen, but how much SHOULD it have happened? So much, that's how much.

Ripley is in the parking lot of the Viva when Nicky's henchguy shows up. He says that it's too bad about Buddy. It looks like Ripley's going to end up working for Nicky anyway. Ripley's all, "Never!" Henchguy lists how shitty things are for Ripley and declares him "over." Then he leaves. What was he expecting from that conversation? That? What a waste of time. ["Also, Some Kind of Wonderful is the definitive cheesy rendition of 'You're over,' and attempts to ascend that throne should not be attempted by the likes of Viva Awfulin." -- Sars]

Ripley is greeted by Jack at the casino. Jack should be at school, but he's skipping. He says he's only missing ballroom class. Foreshadowing? He hands Ripley a book bag, which is filled with cash money. He sold his car -- for cash, apparently. He says he loved the car, but he thought Ripley could use the money. Jack says goodbye, and as he's walking away, Ripley stops him and says, "That red zit thing on your face. Is clearing up real nice." I really don't get that. Are we supposed to believe that he doesn't know how to thank someone or say he loves them or something? Because that's bullshit. The guy is one giant ball of emotion all the time. Nothing seems reserved about him. Or was he just trying to be funny? That's too clever for this stupid show, so I don't think it's that. This show is like different scripts with totally different characters falling together from the sky.
