The winner and loser of the latest episode of Project Runway
were debated yesterday in the TWoP Bullpen (though, I have to confess -- not debated that hotly, since Sars and I normally agree on...everything). I didn't think the loser was that bad; at least the designers styled it with a belt so you could see the model's figure (which is why my favourite look was the fuchsia dress the engineer-cap guy came up with, that apparently fell someplace in the middle as far as the judges were concerned). For exactly that reason, I thought the looks the judges loved the most -- not just Victorya's, but Elisa's as well -- were off-puttingly tentlike. Of course they look good on models, because you can see their skinny gams sticking out the bottom and know they're slim under all those wads of fabric. But anyone else -- including a slim woman with big boobs, because the dress is going to fall from there (er...them) -- will look pregnant. It's a fact.
But anyway, Victorya's was the winning look whether I like it or not, and made it to Steve & Barry's; if you're thinking of getting it for yourself, check out EW PopWatch's review
