Starbuck Break! Katee Sackhoff Stirs the Pot

by Angel Cohn March 28, 2008 3:32 PM
Bionic Woman sucked, let's face it. At the very least it was a massive disappointment, and the only bright spot in it at all was Katee Sackhoff. The BSG/Bionic babe talked to reporters today and when asked if she'd want to participate in the new Children of Men series from BSG/Bionic executive producer David Eick, she was pretty blunt. "Everything that David Eick does interests me. He is fantastic at what he does. He has a vision. He's always successful at that vision. I've always said that the main problem with Bionic Woman was if you get too many cooks in the kitchen, or two many hands in the pot, no one can agree on what they are trying to make, so you have a stew that's full of shit. Whether or not David is given the freedom to do what he's done with Battlestar is a completely different story. I think you'd have to be on a cable network. I don't think you can get that on network television. But I'd follow that man to the ends of the earth." Mmm... stew of shit.
Think that's gross, here's another image Sackhoff conjured up that I can't get out of my mind. "If anyone is fitting for her... if there is anyone that she would actually allow herself to be happy with and be with, it would probably be Leoben. Anders is too weak for her emotionally. Lee is too much of a boy scout. He makes her feel guilty for her anger and who she is. He makes her feel guilty, just by being who he is. If there is a person who she could let her guard down with, its probably Leoben." Shudder. Let's hope that's just one of her wacky fantasies and Ron Moore doesn't take her up on that.

The edgy Battlestar badass also said that she hopes Starbuck dies at the end of the series. "I just don't think that there's any way to end it with her being happy," says Sackhoff. "What I do wish for her is peace... in whatever form that comes in. I'll be happy with it." Well, that I could actually see Moore doing.

As for herself, she's already got plans on what she's snagging from the set on her way out the door. "I'm getting in my flight suit with my gun belt and helmet and driving home. I'm going to bronze that f'ing thing. I swear to god. I'm going to bronze it and put it in my bathtub so every time someone comes over and showers they have to stand next to that flight suit. It was hell for so many years that it is only appropriate that I get to take it with me. Granted I have to drive over a border, so maybe I'll put the guns in the trunk and write prop on them. Get shot by the American government. That would be great." Can you just see the agents at the Canadian border crossing trying to stop Starbuck?
