Variety is reporting that this season will likely be the end of the line for Beauty and the Geek. Really? Is that show still even on? Seriously though this news should come as little surprise to anyone who has been a fan of the show. The current season tried to change the format completely and pit the hot chicks against the little nerdlings they were supposed to be helping. Long gone are the friendships and eagerness of the participants to transform into a smarter girl or a hipper guy, and now the show is all about the competition.
I realize that the show reverted back to its normal geek/girl couples again a few weeks in, but for me it was too little too late, they had already killed what was endearing about that show in the first place. It is not a social experiment to watch women in bikinis looking down on guys with pocket protectors. That's real life, not reality TV, and just not at all interesting to see unless you make it a twisted comedy like The Big Bang Theory. Otherwise, that's what bars are for.
A return to format for another season could be a safe bet for ratings, but I can't help but wonder if these girls are dumbing it up in order to be on the show now. (Megan was smart enough not broadcast the fact that she was a reality ho when she went on Rock of Love) Or if the guys are geeking it up in order to get cast in a house with hot women. There are just a few too many hidden hotties during the makeovers lately for me to think they are all adorkable under their high-waisted pants and shaggy hairstyles. Call me a skeptic, but I think this social experiment has devolved.
Last season the show actually tried a cool twist having a girl geek (oh, yes, they do exist) and a hot brainless guy, but until they do a full series with dweeby ladies, it seems unfair to put a modelish guy in a house with scantily clad women and not expect the bimbos to flock to him like a tiger to a piece of raw meat.
The article speculates about potential format changes that might be able to reignite the Geek flame, but for now, I think the tribe has spoken and this reality show deserves to be snuffed out.

The mortgage loans suppose to be very useful for guys, which want to organize their own career. As a fact, it is comfortable to receive a collateral loan.
