All was going along so pleasantly and smoothly until one reporter asked Boreanaz if he thought that moving his show, which is on the bubble for returning, was a bad idea. Boreanaz jumped all over the guy. (It was awesome!) I've never heard him all fired up, even when he's asked Buffy/Angel questions he kind of bristles, but never gets heated. He wanted to know where said reporter had read that the show was on the bubble. "The reporter sheepishly admitted that he couldn't remember. "If you're saying our show is on the bubble, ''d love to know the source of that one. I mean you can't just say to me that the show is on the bubble and you said you read it and you don't know where it came from?" Phew! "But, I mean to answer your question, I don't think the show is on the bubble. It's a very successful show. We're a different show; we're a cult show that strives itself on relationship and we've proven if we're on Wednesday or Tuesday or Friday or even Monday that our fans will follow us." Amen to that. I have to say, most conference calls are pretty boring and straight forward, an irked David Boreanaz made this one so much more entertaining. And I'm on his side, I've been at many a junket or conference call where the reporters kind of throw out random questions that seem to come from nowhere just to get a rise and the actor just gives a pat answer. I'm actually a fan of his, and the show (and of course, Buffy/Angel), so maybe I'm a little bit biased, but I give Boreanaz kudos for calling the guy on it. Made me like him even more. Then he returned back to the call and politely answered everyone's questions and never brought it up again. That's some fine acting... or at the very least some talented anger management. I'd love to see more of this annoyed Boreanaz on the show. Hopefully he can use his producer status to work that in next season, because clearly it isn't a bubble show, so it should be back.
