Cheftestant Lisa's Bag of Dicks Tour Continues I think we all can agree that Lisa from Top Chef is one of the most unpleasant human beings ever seen on television. But as if her whining, bitching, backstabbing and general lack of basic social skills weren't annoying enough, it turns out the chef who's had her ass handed to her at the judges' table more times than anyone else this season has the audacity to be, of all things, an elitist. When asked by the NY Daily News if she's been following the online coverage of TC, she had this to say:

"Oh no, I don't read the blogs -- you couldn't pay me to read the blogs. I don't want to know what people who can't even afford to eat in my restaurant, let alone know how to cook have to say about me, and the few comments I did read on Eater.com a few weeks back because my job asked me to read 'em. The best they could come up with was that I was ugly."

Bitch, please. First of all, the whole bloggers are obviously poor people whose opinions don't matter thing is absurd. People who give a hell about food and spend time writing/reading about it on something like Eater.com most likely spend their disposable income, however much that is, at fine dining restaurants. And even if they don't have a lot of said disposable income, I know someone who opened a new credit card just to go to Harold Dieterle's Perilla, so don't tell me you don't need to care about what Top Chef fans think because you assume they're too poor to have valid opinions. That's why your job asked you to read those comments in the first place, genius.

Secondly, many of them do know how to cook, that being the whole reason they devote their time to a foodie website, but that's beside the point. Week after week, experienced and esteemed chefs have not been impressed with Lisa's work on Top Chef. The only reason she's made it to the final three is that she somehow manages to not be the most terrible chef in each Elimination Challenge, but she's usually the second most terrible chef. They never send two people home in one week, hence, Lisa is still around.

Thirdly, "The best they could come up with was that I was ugly"? Really? Most of the comments I've read were about her lousy attitude, lack of talent, and the fact that chefs like Antonia, Dale and Andrew should never, in all that is holy, have been sent home instead of her. And yes, there were quite a few comments about her greasy hair, but homegirl prepares food for living so it's probably in everyone's best interest that she avoids using Miracle Whip as a goddamned hair product. The fact that she seems to is gross and deserves to be commented on.

The good news is, it looks like she doesn't have a chance in hell of winning tomorrow night. The bad news is, you know she's going to have a lot of shit to talk about Richard or Stephanie, which will be like watching your little brother get kidney punched by the school bully while you're stuck in home ec.
