So there's a company that's making a Knight Rider-themed global positioning system for your car. It's black, with flashing red lights, and it speaks in the voice of the original KITT, William Daniels (not the new KITT, Val Kilmer, thank god). And while this sounds pretty damn cool and totally worth the $300, we can see some problems with it.
For starters, KITT can do a lot of things that your car can't. This is what we think a set of driving directions from KITT might sound like:
Turn left onto Hamilton St.
Turn right onto Johnston Ave., towards train tracks.
Aim for ramp.
Hit Turbo Boost.
Pass through open doors of boxcar and land safely on other side.
Turn right into parking lot.
Drive into garage.
Get on elevator.
Pull off onto roof.
Aim towards north side.
Hit Turbo Boost.
Also, we're pretty sure that listening to the former head of the Screen Actor's Guild give you directions for even a few miles would cause you to drive straight into the nearest tree.
Still, it's a much better idea than a Night Driver-themed GPS, based on the old Atari game, which would consist of the following directions:
