Before Maury Povich and myriad judge shows flooded daytime talk with paternity test programming, there were two ladies named Ricki Lake and Jenny Jones offering up trash talk of a much more entertaining variety. I am of course talking about the eternally classic "My (insert family member here) Dresses Too Sexy" episode. In the '90s, Ricki and Jenny alternated exclusively between (the inferior) "Out of Control Teen" episodes and these captivating makeover shows in which women who dressed like hookers but vehemently denied being actual hookers were yelled at by a lot of people and then given librarian costumes to sit uncomfortably in for the show's fourth act.
