Tricia Helfer: Secrets! Well, not exactly. But I was present for a round table of sorts with Battlestar Galactica's most famous cylon about her new gig on USA's Burn Notice. For starters, Helfer confirmed she will be in a whopping seven (possibly eight) out of 16 episodes this season, so tonight's season premiere is no mere guest appearance. And aside from knowing she's generally scary and bossy, she doesn't know a whole lot about her new character yet. "To be completely honest, I really don't know much of Carla's back story. I do know that she was a spy, and that she is now the public face of the organization that burns Michael. So she is definitely in a leadership position, and, at this point, pretty much ordering Michael around." Poor Michael. That guy just can't catch a break.

The really excellent news is that Carla probably won't be a love interest for Michael. "I certainly wouldn't rule it out but I would imagine it would be quite far down the road, because, at this point, she annoys him pretty much." I don't know how other fans of the show feel about it, but Michael and Fi's (or as my apartment calls her, "Fifi") tenuous on-again, off-again romance is the only thing I don't like about the show. I love them separately as characters, but as a couple they're annoying as hell. Hopefully Carla and Michael can manage to avoid booty calling each other and having boring relationship talks and just stick to spy stuff. I watch this show for explosions and flying bullets, not "Can I be your girlfriend? Please?!" Because Fiona's above that, and by the sounds of it, Carla is too.

Speaking of Carla and Fiona, there's so gonna be a catfight! "I would imagine it would definitely be some good interaction. I can't imagine Fiona taking too kindly to Carla." No, I wouldn't imagine she would either. Let's just leave it at Fiona being irrationally territorial about Michael and not turn it into a dumb love triangle, m'kay?

Oh, and how's the change of pace from Battlestar treating Helfer? "When you're talking about the annihilation of the human race, or suicide bombings, or that kind of thing, it can be really heavy on set. So I'm enjoying the lightness and the levity of Burn Notice and just having a lot of fun with that." So am I.
