If Loving the Creative Arts Emmys is Wrong, I Don't Want To Be Right Unlike with the Oscars and other major awards, the Creative Arts Emmys are totally not the nerdy, D-List version of the Primetime (ie "real") Emmys. In fact, this year especially served to illustrate how not televising certain awards live guarantees it'll be much, much cooler than the boring old Standards and Practices-adherent ones. All of media's provocateurs (Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Trey Parker and Matt Stone) came out in full force, and most of them went home with a statue or two for their troubles. And of course, Mad Men pretty much swept every goddamned thing because, duh, it's the best effing show on TV. After the jump, the highlights of who won what. (For a full list of the winners, click here.)

Sarah Silverman took home an award for Best Original Music and Lyrics for her masterpiece "I'm F__king Matt Damon," proving that despite all signs to the contrary, the Emmy brass do have a sense of humor. And not by accident either.

Pretty soon Kathy Griffin is gonna have to face the facts: with two Emmys for Best Reality Show under her belt, she can't keep pretending to be D-List.

Best art direction, best cinematography, best title design, best hair-effing-styling ... Mad Men can do no goddamned wrong. If Obama had chosen this show as his running mate, shit would be unstoppable!

Sure, they've fallen victim to some major stuntcasting in the past, but 30 Rock totally earned their Outstanding Casting in a Comedy Series award with six little words: Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer.

I don't know what the hell picture editing is (I presume it has something to do with, you know, editing pictures) but I'd have been pissed if Top Chef didn't win for something.
