Which brings me to 90210, which I've already griped about about a lot given the short amount of time it has been on the air. But the thing that's got me up in arms now is really another unnecessarily confusing scenario. This hasn't become one of my cardinal rules yet, but should be. Don't bring on an actress from a remarkably similar show to play a similar role. Basically Maeve Quinlan who plays bitchy mom to Adrianna (the drug ho!) stars on this series South of Nowhere as the bad cop mom. It's been rankling me for weeks that 90210 has basically borrowed a big plot of SoN (that the Midwestern transplanted to LA family had an adopted African-American son) and it hasn't really been mentioned much (yes, that's because I'm probably the only adult who watches the sexy little N show). But then to go and put the mom who stars on the original show you're borrowing a plot from on your show -- my TV worlds have collided and I hate being confused about which show I'm watching. Though again, I'm probably the only one bothered by this. However, if 90210 was going to lift another storyline, they'd do better using the lesbian daughter one. That could make this show interesting. Although, they likely wouldn't handle it as well as SoN. And making new 90210 interesting is really, really hard.

And lastly (for now) is Prison Break. They've gone through all the trouble to have Scofield's tattoos removed magically in one night without painkillers, and yet, he's still wearing long sleeves. Does Fox not care about its female viewers? I mean, the whole reason I started watching this show was because the hot Wentworth Miller and his tattoos. Well, and because I'll watch anything about inmates. And I understand that when he was sweating in Panama it was a pain in the ass for the real-life star to put on the full torso faux ink. But now what's the excuse? I'd like to see some skin. I mean. They are in LA. Doesn't he ever get warm? He couldn't even wear a T-shirt. Something. It would go a long way in making me overlook some of the other unbelievable crap that happens on that show.
