Things That Don't Make Sense: The October 21st Edition

So yesterday I heard the news that Knight Rider somehow got a full season pick up. How is this possible? I know not one single person (aside from the diligently devoted weecap writer Montykins) who was able to make it past the first episode. And I've got bunches of teenage boy cousins. I know NBC's lineup isn't super strong this fall, what with the Kath & Kim nightmare and the tediously boring Crusoe, but really, Knight Rider? I'm still stunned that it even made it past the TV movie stage. Good lord.

Then today I see that CBS has ordered additional scripts for the appallingly terrible Worst Week. I'd much rather watch double-length episodes of Two and a Half Men, or even more of The New Adventures of Old Christine, but yet, somehow people are watching this show and now the national nightmare may continue.

And then, I see that the CW has ordered more scripts for Privileged, which is far from the most painful show on this fall (that honor goes to Valentine ... with Worst Week running a close second), but doesn't do well in the ratings. And that's by CW's already lowered ratings standards.

And THEN.... oh, then... Private Practice got a full season pickup. I understand why they brought it back for this season. The strike. Fresh start. Great cast. But the show is more confusing and muddled than ever. I can't believe they are going to make more of it. And yet no one is watching the adorable Pushing Daisies. Sometimes I just don't get the entertainment world.

Do these things make sense to you? Let us know.
