New Battlestar Trailer: Damn!

So after watching the trailer for the last half of the (final) season of Battlestar Galactica, I'm starting an official countdown to the January 16 premiere. That's 51 more days of not-so patiently waiting. It looks really good. I know these jump cuts with snippets of dialogue make it a bit hard to tell what the hell is going on, but when Saul whispers "There must be some kind of way out of here" and they start playing the Watchtower/Cylon theme, I got giddy goosebumps.

And Mary McDonnell being all intense and mean, totally makes up for her disappointing turn on Grey's Anatomy (don't worry... I blame the show/writing, not her). And I swear that they show Starbuck and Apollo kissing (but I could be wrong since it was just a flash), which totally blows my mind, but is exactly what I would do if I were Starbuck and humanity was going to end. And the earth, wow, I still can't get over the way it looks. And there's a lot of explosions and Cylon/human chaos. It's crazy. Just crazy. I can't freakin' wait (though I've got some suggestions on how you can spend your time until then).

So go watch, then come back and let us know how excited you are. I've watched it like four times now and I'm probably going to have to watch it just a couple more times before the day is out.

OMG! I don't know if I'm super excited or super sad about the end...at the moment I can't wait! Total Adama/Roslin kiss! Awesome!

I have to say that the favorite part of the whole trailer for me was seeing Apollo and Starbuck busting in the room with guns ablaze. I want my kick ass team back. They have time for kissing and stuff later. I am ready for the battle.

This trailer has made me want ... a longer trailer. And, yes, it's also made me want the 16th of January to get here, post-haste. I love the fact that even seven-odd seconds worth of Adama-Roslin banter is as dramatically and emotionally fulfilling (not to mention amusing) as an entire scene's worth of character communication in some other shows.

I totally agree, kaffyr. Adama and Roslin's cylon talk was the best.
