When it rains it pours, cancellation-wise. After 14 seasons, Fox has pulled the plug on MADtv. The remainder of this season will air, and then that's it for MADtv on Fox, though the show's creator is working on bringing it to another network. I'm kind of loathe to admit that I'm one of those people who looked down on the show in favor of SNL, even though SNL is weak and inconsistent and many comedy buffs have urged me to give MADtv a chance, so aside from Stuart and Ms. Swan, I'm not terribly knowledgeable about the show. I did find the sketch below on Hulu this morning and laughed out loud several times (despite it containing the worst Goldie Hawn impression in the history of celebrity impressions), so now that it's canceled I of course wish I'd watched it more. Hindsight, right? Any MADtv supporters out there who are going to miss the show?

The show had amazing, spot on TV show spoofs. Shame on you for missing them, Mindy. The Hills and Laguna Bi-otch are oft quoted by my friends.
Consistently funnier than SNL and at times even more cutting with the inappropriate humor. I'm sad to see it go.
You guys have used the perfect clip for the show, because any show that can get Jeff Probst to poke fun at himself is a good show. Additionally, you missed some great skits. Will Sasso thinking that his weight loss made him less funny was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. Nicole Parker doing a spot-on, pitch-perfect Julie Andrews with a bunch of rappers on TRL singing "Pucker Up and Suck It" was quoted (and sung) by my co-workers and I for a good six months. If you only know Stuart and Miss Swan, you missed a TON.
