Does anyone else get the impression that the HFPA didn't actually watch TV this last year? I can't believe both Jon Hamm and January Jones were overlooked for Mad Men. Actually anyone in the actor category would have been a better win than Byrne. And Anna Paquin? Really?
YAY! Sally Hawkins!
Sally Hawkins just got a Globe for WASTING nearly two hours of my life. I realize that makes me an outed rainbows and puppies hater too, but come the hell on!
This is already a joke with Hamm and Jones overlooked. This telecast is dead to me. Pfffftttt.
I've always thought the Golden Globes to be off. Their winners never seem right. And some of the nominees are even questionable (Where's "Milk"?). I question whether they are a good indicator of the Oscars. There are other award ceremonies and nominee announcements prior to the Academy's choice of nominations.
I always prefer the Emmys, Oscars and other critics awards. The Golden Globes are a low priority for me.
I expected there to be uproar upon hearing Anna Paquin taking out Best Actress - Television Drama. HAHAHAHAH.
I'm just happy David Duchovny cut his hair.
ANNA PAQUIN?! Am I insane, or does that make no sense? She is, by far, the worst thing about that show. I can barely watch her scenes, she's so terrible. Jeez.

A.R Rahman is pronounced Rayhman not RUman or RAman - its bad enough it was mispronounced but correcting it incorrectly is pretty sucky
Oh you've got to be kidding me with Anna Paquin. I love True Blood, but she grates big time. Gah.
I am already so sick of winners who pull out wrinkled sheets of paper and bore us to death with the recitation of name after name after name...
Hurray for Tina Fey and Ricky Gervais (Not at all bitter about not being nominated!) for being truly witty.
Come on, the rest of you! Entertain me!
Mad Men should have won waaaay more awards considering its the BEST DRAMA ON TV. Also, NPH should have won. He is legen - wait for it, I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is DAIRY!...Too much?
we should be happy True Blood was shown some love, and i may not love everything sookie did throughout the season, anna paquin acted the hell out of it
I am totally bummed that Neil Patrick Harris didn't win (although the category was SO stacked against him that I knew he wouldn't even if I held out a sliver of hope). He SO deserves to win an award because he is BRILLIANT! But oh well...
Tina Fey's speech was all kinds of awesome. The fact that she called out her internet detractors and told them to "suck it" made my night!
And then I have to say that I loved the fact that that British producer who won for best movie said the F-word and it wasn't bleeped out on Canadian TV. Ha!
I didn't bother to watch but I was seriously holding out hope that a miracle would happen and NPH would win. I hope he gets some love in the 2009 Emmys, it's been long overdue.
29m, in Arabic, it would be rah-chhhmahn (not really saying the c, kind of a guttural sound). Of course, maybe this guy isn't Arabic.
It's like in grade school when your teacher gives out awards for the year, and makes up a bunch of awards just so everyone can win one. The fact that Paquin won for True Blood completely invalidates the awards for everyone else. Sad.
Ellen-A.R. Rahman is South Indian from Tamil Nadu, and is quite a popular composer.
Mary-Louise Parker was ROBBED! Robbed I say! She looked so lovely, too. She's old enough to be my mother but, fucking hell.....

Loved Anna Paquin....Sookie and Bill are the best thing on TV.
