It's Battlestar Galactica finale day, which pretty much means that I'm too caught up in my own little blend of excitement/depression to really care about much of anything today that doesn't involve the words "Adama," "frak" or "Hera." Plus, I've been busy creating my own little (over-the-counter) drug cocktail to stave off a stupid cold, without taking something that will make me too tired to watch the two-hour finale tonight. But I'm told that I have to do news anyway... so here's what's happening in the non-BSG world.
Bones is doing the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Yes. Stupider than a Sims-ified One Tree Hill episode. They are doing a crossover with Family Guy. Yup. Corporate synergy at its worst right there, folks. Supposedly, Booth will have a health crisis and hallucinate Stewie. I've got so many issues with this, the fact that he has already had hallucinations twice this season (he was knocked unconscious and saw a hockey player and drugged so badly that he saw a dead army buddy) being among them. Seriously. I've had so many issues with the episodes lately that if I could focus on anything aside from BSG, I'd write a whole rant... but I'll leave you to discuss this moronic decision amongst yourselves below.
In case you were worried about her career, Elle MacPherson got a job. She's not joining the judging panel of Top Model, but it is close. She's going to be on Beautiful Life, that CW show with Mischa Barton about models. This will really be a test of her range.
I'm seriously convinced that there's some sort of bad mojo over at the Dancing With the Stars set. Now Steve-O reportedly has a hematoma (which always sounds bad on those medical shows), in addition to his bad back. And to top things off, Woz has a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease. He went spouting off that he thought that the show was rigged or something and he hurt a bunch of people's feelings. Now he's apologizing.
Deadliest Catch fans are having their own convention. Let me know when they do a Man v. Food one. I'm so there.
Earlier this week, the cast of Battlestar spoke at the UN. Then last night Barack Obama was on The Tonight Show. This isn't news, but it seems really weird, right? Like something is seriously out of sync in this world when the "TV" and "real" worlds start blurring the lines like that? Just me? Is this cold medicine making me paranoid? Probably.
