It's a great news day! Pushing Daisies's last episodes finally got an air date, Chuck got a third season pickup and I'm going on The Amazing Race. April Fool's! I know, it isn't nice to toy with people's emotions like that. I feel a little guilty, but that last one is sort of true... just as soon as I can scrape up the cash! Some smart person finally found a way to offer TAR travel excursions to regular people, where you bebop all over Europe and do crazy stunts... for a fee, and sadly without Phil and his eyebrows. Still -- cool, right? Now if we can just work on the networks about making those other two things happen, it really would be a banner day. In other news...
The Simpsons are going to be on a stamp. Interesting. That means I might actually have to venture to the post office, a place I only go to in the most dire circumstances. Seriously, waiting in line at the Rock Center post office is worse than any Survivor endurance challenge. Oh! I just found out you can order stamps online. Phew. Now I just need to find things to mail...
Wanda Sykes (a.k.a. the best part of The New Adventures of Old Christine) is getting her own talk show. It's going to air in the Saturday night MadTV spot and will probably be funnier than most weeks of SNL.
Earl Hickey might be pulling up stakes. Rumor has it that My Name Is Earl might get axed by NBC because of low ratings, but that Fox might pick up the series. Sounds like Fox is trying to earn some good karma.
Another soap bubble burst. Guiding Light is getting cancelled after 72 years. Oh, my Nana is not going to be happy about this. And 72 years? Isn't that kind of insane?
Josh Schwartz has yet another job. Yes, in addition to Gossip Girl, the Gossip Girl spinoff Lily, Chuck, the web seriesRockville CA and writing X-Men: Origins, he's got one more gig. He's going to write and direct a new, big-screen version of Bright Lights, Big City. When does this man sleep?
Lastly, you know how on Idol last night, some idiot yelled out to Kara that she was a broken record when she was telling Megan that she sucked and should pick better songs? Yeah, that was Megan Joy's brother. I'm sure the whole family is so very proud.
