Neil Patrick Harris will bring some joy to the Tonys as this year's host, despite the Great White Way having one of those most depressing years ever, with record closings and only shows based on movies making any money. Billy Elliott's going to win everything, Nathan Lane is doing Beckett, and the travesty that is 9 to 5 is nominated for several awards, but at least we'll get some NPH production numbers and a few digs at Constantine's expense during the show. Who says Broadway is dead? (Everyone. Everyone says that.)

Whoa, remember Kristin Cavallari? She's replacing Lauren Conrad on The Hills next season and she's already trash-talking, saying she's going to be more exciting than LC ever was. Which is true of even Speidi, so that's not really much of a promise. Unless she's planning on being more exciting by murdering them or something.

Kiefer is promising that next year's 24 season is going to be more based in reality, because the past seasons have been far-fetched. First of all, duh to the latter, we can all agree. Secondly, I really hope he's lying, because a 24 that isn't as far-fetched as a Crank movie is a 24 I want no part of.

In a passing-of-the-torch type of deal, Conan will be Leno's final Tonight Show guest on May 29. Nice try, NBC. Not even Conan could get me to ever watch Leno. (Lies. I did it for Hugh Jackman like two weeks ago.)

Samantha Who? has looked pretty dead recently, but apparently shifting to a HIMYM-like multi-camera, soundstage shooting format could save the show enough money to live on, and ABC is considering it. The show's not my thing, but I think it deserves to live.

And finally, Cliff Clavin's gone crazy, but in a pretty hilarious way.
