Today's TWoP News: May 28, 2009

Today's TWoP News: May 28, 2009 Mr. Buffy is teaming up with Jack Bauer next season, and I'm in heaven. Also, other news.

Whoever they've got casting the newbies on 24 next season is my soulmate. First Anil Kapoor, then my number-one girl crush Jennifer Westfeldt, and now glorious news straight outta the '90s has come that Freddie Prinze Jr. has signed on as the head of the newly reassembled CTU's field ops. Seriously, who let me cast a show? If Kurt Russell or Zefron spontaneously show up as terrorists next season, I'm checking my brain for bugs.

And whoever is casting the next season of Dexter is trying to kill me, because they've cast that pompous overacting hack John Lithgow as the new Jimmy Smits. Seriously, Dexter is one of my favorite shows ever, but I really don't know if I can watch 13 episodes of John Lithgow doing anything, even if he is guaranteed to be slaughtered at the end. Plus they've got that new kid now? Aak, I think that show and I are breaking up. Do I have to burn my bobbleheads now? Not my Dexter bobbleheads!!! Break-ups are so hard.

Holy crap, you see all the stuff that was dug up about The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Danielle? Yikes. You gotta kind of wonder how stupid you'd have to be to go on a huge reality show when you know you have a past like that. In related news, how are we feeling about the new installment? They're certainly trashy and bitchy enough (with the exception of Jacqueline, who refuses to gossip and needs to go), but I don't think they're funny enough, which is a huge problem. They need their own Vicki or Bethenny or something.

Speaking of how there are 15 of these Housewives shows now, in addition to D.C., Bravo is apparently looking into a Chicago spinoff. I swear to God, are we never getting Dallas? What is the problem here?!

From the duh files: Joss Whedon would enjoy seeing Summer Glau on Dollhouse.

And oh my god, we're still doing this? E! is claiming they have it on very good authority that George is dead and that T.R. Knight really will not be returning to Grey's next season. Until tomorrow, that is, when we hear the exact opposite, and then it changes the day after that and the day after that and oh my god let him quit or don't let him quit, just make a damn decision already.
