Today's TWoP News: June 19, 2009

Today's TWoP News: June 19, 2009 Leighton Meester might have done a dumb thing before she got famous, Jon and Kate are not making empty threats, and even Lauren Conrad says The Hills is fake.

Angel already wrote a whole thing about this, but it feels weird not to put it here as well, for some reason. Katherine Heigl didn't get out of her Grey's Anatomy contract, so we're all stuck with Izzie for a while longer. Grey's Anatomy: Continually giving Heroes its stiffest competition for the "Most Self-Destructive Show on Television" title.

It looks like it's not just an empty publicity stunt -- apparently there is a good chance that Jon and Kate will announce their divorce on Monday's super-sized episode. Gross that it has to be televised, but this is for the best, of course.

More to Love trailer, everybody! Biggest surprise: there's like a rockabilly girl on here, which seems too hip for a show like this, but other than that it's pretty much just business as usual, just plus-sized. This show makes me uncomfortable, but so does the regular Bachelor and I watch that crap pile too, so this will be no exception. I'm most curious to see whether or not they're going to force them to make out every 15 seconds like they do on the Bachelor/Bachelorette. I'm betting they won't.

There's a documentary about how great Arrested Development was coming out, like, who doesn't know by now how great Arrested Development was? I do not need such a documentary.

There might be a Leighton Meester sex tape. Don't act like you're not going to watch it.

And now that Lauren Conrad is free of The Hills, she's starting to admit some things about it. Namely, that Spencer's apology to her was completely faked and that she "wasn't on the other line of that call." I know, I know, pick up your jaw.
