In today's news, educators are attempting to get in the way of good television (read: sex and drugs) and Kate Gosselin is writing a book. But nobody in Hollywood died (yet), so overall I would say that today is a very good day.
So the CW made a bit of a poor choice with that show Privileged, which was cancelled because, let's face it, it just wasn't as good as Gossip Girl. Solution? Put the star on GG instead! Joanna Garcia will be appearing in the fall as Nate's new girlfriend, who's supposedly conservative. And from the South. Eww... can't wait to hear what B has to say about this one.
In other casting news, Jeri Ryan (Shark) will join the cast of Leverage, playing a "smart-ass, street-wise con woman." Hmm... sounds kind of like her character from The O.C.. That chick sucked big time.
CBS is launching an "aggressive 10 PM marketing plan" that will spend millions of dollars on ads for CSI: Miami, The Good Wife, CSI: NY, The Mentalist and Numbers. "Project LENO" (good one, guys!), which stands for "Late prime Enhanced News Opportunity," will battle the NBC late-night host in his new time-slot.
Kate Gosselin is writing a book called Love is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories that will be put out by Christian publisher Zondervan, even though the Gosselins have questionable family values, to say the least. The only thing grosser than the title of this book is that it'll probably make the best-seller list.
PC and Jessie's topics of conversation on NYC Prep stirred up some controversy with their recent alma mater. The Dwight School sent a letter to students and alums citing a "zero tolerance" policy for drugs, booze and sex. Or for being on reality shows. Or for doing drugs, drinking booze, and having sex on reality shows. It's unclear. I wonder what it would be like if the entire cast of NYC Prep got kicked out of prep school? Except Taylor, of course -- good thing she's poor.
Also, Jeff Goldblum is not dead.
