BLOGS
Yesterday I ranted about how disappointed I was about the Star Wars panel that G4 decided to air on TV as the first ever Comic-Con panel to be broadcast, and griped that maybe some other more deserving panels could have been chosen. Then the nice folks at NBC (who sign my paycheck) decided to put up the Chuck panel on Hulu so I could see the whole thing. Well, mostly. The intro song by Jeffster! was cut (you can watch it here) most likely because of music rights. Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" probably doesn't come cheap.
But that song and wildly enthusiastic performance kicked off the insane vibe of this panel. The duo sang, and then the rest of the cast came out to join them, before the actual moderated Q&A session began. It was pretty much nuts. What followed was a mostly uninformative, but highly amusing session. We did learn about Chuck's spotty "Chuck-fu" abilities that won't necessarily last next season. The creators and cast were mostly just grateful to the fans for swallowing down gross Subway sandwiches in order to keep the show on the air, then they just made jokes and goofed around speculating what would happen next season, without actually revealing much. Adam Baldwin is pure awesome as he flaunts his Firefly role with pride, Zachary Levi certainly knows how to work the crowd, and Joshua Gomez delights with his pink underpants. Yeah, its not really newsy, but it sure is fun and the whole thing is below.for your viewing pleasure. You probably don't want to watch at work, unless you want to drive your co-workers crazy (Mindy can attest to the fact that I was giggling... a lot).
Start your holiday shopping early: Pre-order season two of Chuck on DVD here before it's released on December 15.
