The sweet scent of ambition is in the air today, as David Arquette plans to not starve himself for charity, Heidi Pratt finds a new way to let everyone know how hot she is, and Barbara Walters is celebrated for all the people she's made cry. Some amusing castings have been confirmed, too. Read on, friends!
Let's start off with an adorably ironic casting choice, shall we? Eric McCormack will guest star on Law & Order: SVU as a straight sugar daddy. As opposed to that episode of Will & Grace when Will had a gay sugar daddy, which was kind of the best.
David Arquette will be fighting hunger by "living" in a plexiglass box next Tuesday and Wednesday as a charity stunt for Feeding America. And by living, I mean living for eight hours a day. And by fighting hunger, I mean fighting hunger for himself, too, as he'll be eating while he's in there. Still admirable, though.
Heidi Pratt is really proud of her naked body, and she wants you to be proud of your naked body, too. (But really, she just wants you to be proud of hers.) Along with her trainer, Chad Waterbury, Heidi is going to be sharing her fitness and nutrition secrets in a downloadable workout series called, drumroll please...The Heidi Workout. As far as we know, dropkicking LC in the face is not included.
Hope Davis will be replacing Julianne Moore for the role of Hillary Clinton in the upcoming HBO made-for-TV film The Special Relationship. The film will chronicle the relationship between Bill Clinton (played by Dennis Quaid...am I the only one who thinks that's weird?) and Tony Blair (played by Michael Sheen... again). Just what we need... another bromantic comedy!
Barbara Walters may be exceptionally annoying but she's also pretty much the female Chuck Norris of the broadcast journalism world, so I think it's fair that she's finally going to receive a lifetime achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
It's certainly no 30 Rock, but $350,000 per episode isn't too shabby for the rerun rights for The New Adventures of Old Christine. Lifetime picked up the show and will start airing rerun episodes in fall 2010.
