Lots of money is being thrown around, a new religion drama series is in the works and a former McDonalds "fan" is directing a Simpsons tribute. It can't get anymore random than that. Anyway, meet the "45-Million-Dollar Man" and read about the possibility of a Jackson family reality show.
Who knew Ryan Seacrest would ever amount to anything? I guess meeting American Idol contestants is all he needs, because he just closed a three-year-deal worth $15 million per year, which triples his current salary and now makes him the highest-paid reality show host. Ever. People are now calling the Idol host the "45-Million-Dollar Man." The title may just be as amusing as the subject.
Things are not looking good for the cast and crew over at Parenthood. Earlier this year, production shut down when a death occurred on set, and now, star Maura Tierney has fallen ill, delaying production once again. But, never fear! We'll all get to meet the Braverman family when the show airs midseason.
Morgan Spurlock won't have to compromise his health in his next big project. The producer/director/writer/Big Mac-eating-star of Super Size Me is trying his hand at something a little more wholesome -- directing and producing next year's The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice, a documentary that will celebrate "the cultural phenomenon of The Simpsons." It's in 3-D and on ice? Whoa.
I'm sure Matt Damon is passionate about lots of things, but don't cross him when it comes to his charity, One By One. In the sixth season finale of Entourage, Matt Damon takes on his "stalkerish" persona and badgers Vinnie Chase into donating a lot more than he should.
Duo David Janollari and Craig Wright are developing a religion-themed drama for Showtime. Revelation centers on an unconventional minister who moves to a Texas church with his two teens after the sudden death of his wife. Showtime is all about being unconventional. See: pot-dealing suburban mom.
It's been, what, two weeks since MJ's death? And already, there's been talk about a project with the Jackson family that could gain a lot more interest, especially after the passing of the King of Pop. Okay, granted, A&E finished shooting footage months ago as the Jacksons prepared for the new album and reunion tour, but now, everything is up in the air. The Jackson Family reality show, anyone?
