We'll all be sad when the Comic-Con is over, leaving us with significantly less exciting news, but for now we'll just revel in all its nerdy glory! In other news, Speidi continues to hijack entertainment world, but Georgina Sparks is coming back, so maybe she'll take them down! Okay, not likely, but wouldn't that be so badass?
We had some doubts about Padma Lakshmi's acting abilities, so anyone who shares our concerns may be at least a little relieved that Padma won't be the star of her new culinary-themed NBC sitcom. She will have a recurring role, but mostly she'll be producing while focusing on Top Chef and her jewelry company. She just does it all now, doesn't she?
There's really not much about the Comic-Con that actually excites me, but everyone else in the country is just so freakin' happy about it that it's been a little contagious for me, I must say. Showtime announced that it's creating a cartoon web-series prequel entitled Earl Cuts that explains how Dexter became a serial killer. Plus, Tim Burton says that his next project will be a film adaptation of the cult '60s TV series Dark Shadows. I don't watch Dexter and Tim Burton scares the crap out of me, but cool! Comic-Con!
And now for some news that does concern my shallow mind. Michelle Trachtenberg will remain on Gossip Girl despite her role on NBC's new show Mercy. She also told Daily Intel that Georgina is "never gonna die. There's nothing you can do to kill her." Hmm...is this a clever way of telling us that there's going to be a VAMPIRE STORYLINE?!
Speidi is writing a book called How to Be Famous that will be released this fall. There's really nothing surprising about this, but that doesn't make it any more horrific. Also, Spencer thinks he's the white Jay-Z and wants to have his own reality show on Mars, and Heidi will be singing at the Miss Universe pageant. I don't know how these two conned the country into believing they're worthy of our attention, but I guess we'll find out when the book comes out!

"VAMPIRE STORYLINE?!"
That's how rumors start. Awesome, awesome rumors.
Someone needs to get a hold of Joss Whedon and ask him if Ripper is ever going to happen.
Methinks not.
