There are lots of new shows on the block, but they seem to be reminiscent of shows we know and love. Lost is coming to an end, so naturally, another show is looking to take its place. Octomom finally got her own reality show, which is basically another version of Jon & Kate Plus Eight. Well, without Jon. The only original TV show in the news is Steven Spielberg's pilot about aliens, and even that's pushing it. Anyway, there are some good news and some tragic news; you'll laugh and you'll cry, so proceed with caution.
The news that Dominic Monaghan will join the FlashFoward cast just makes it more obvious that this upcoming drama be the next Lost. The storyline: A mysterious event happens, everyone blacks out and they catch a glimpse of their future. Just add polar bears, a hatch and villainous black smoke, and we're set.
Octomom is following in Kate's footsteps and exploiting her children for money and fame. Yes, that's right -- Octomom found herself a deal and signed an agreement for each of her 14 children to earn $250 a day to star in a reality show. Talk about child slavery. At least there isn't a marriage to break up this time.
American Original will produce the graphic novel series Comedy Death Ray with the help of comedians who will contribute to the anthology by each creating a comic book. Normally, I'm not the person to be thrilled of a graphic novel-based TV show, but if Sarah Silverman, BJ Novak and Zach Galifianakis are among the comedians to partake in this venture, then I'm right there with them.
The American Latino Media Arts Awards are almost here! Eva Longoria Parker and George Lopez will be hosting the event, so that will make it even more worthwhile to watch. And yay for new categories this year, like an emerging young talent award and a sports award.
So, we already know Noah Wyle is onboard with Steven Spielberg's alien invasion pilot, but it looks like he's getting some coworkers. Moon Bloodgood, Jessy Schram, Seychelle Gabriel and Maxim Knight have joined what will become a very good-looking cast.
I hate to leave this round up with some depressing news, but it looks like that'll have to be the case. Two-time American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen was killed over the weekend in a car accident. The police have arrested a suspect who is currently being held in Ocean County Jail. RIP Alexis.
