He'll play the new head of Operation Bartowski, and -- of course -- a rival for Chuck in the pursuit of Sarah's love. Because Lord knows the world would end if there wasn't a rival.

In other news, information has come out about the role Terminator alum Summer Glau will play on her old boss Joss Whedon's Dollhouse: she'll play Bennett, a Dollhouse employee with a connection to Eliza Dushku's Echo. ...Hey, we didn't say it was a lot of information.

In a surprise deal that... has apparently been in the works for months, A&E has bought Lifetime, meaning that the channel that is about to air Steven Seagal: Lawman now owns the channel that airs Project Runway. Can't wait for that guest-judge appearance.

Apparently, the St. Elmo's Fire TV show has inspired Fox to raid the bin of 1980s cult movies themselves and create a Heathers TV show. Apparently, the Heathers will all be in it... well, the pilot, anyway. After that, they're fair game.

Josh Schwartz, the producer of Chuck and Gossip Girl, is creating a sitcom about twentysomething newlyweds. That sounds... not as interesting as Chuck and Gossip Girl.

MTV is getting back into scripted series (remember Dead at 21?), and they're following up their planned series Hard Times with some TV-movies that may serve as back-door pilot episodes to others. My Super Sweet 16 is a horror movie set at a roller rink, Turn the Beat Around is a dance competition story in L.A. and Made will be a scripted version of their reality show, in which a cheerleader turns a band nerd into a cheerleader. All could be good. All could be awful. Fingers crossed.
