Saturday Night Live is kicking off the season with a four-peat of big stars, of both the hosting and musical varieties. The first episode's pairing, Megan Fox and U2, has already been announced for September 26th, but the next three are Ryan Reynolds with Lady Gaga, Drew Barrymore with Regina Spektor and Gerard Butler with Shakira. Like Shakira, Gerard Butler's hips do not lie.

The end must be near, because Fox is developing a series based on text messages. But it's not just any show creator, it's a writer from The Big Bang Theory, and they're not just any texts, they're texts from textsfromlastnight.com, which compiles embarrassing texts form drunk people. Sounds like this could be another How I Drunk-Texted Your Mother.

Edward Norton is gonna be on an episode of Modern Family? If you weren't sure of the show's quality before now, that's gotta be some kind of an acid test right there.

Meanwhile, True Blood cast member Anna Camp ("Sarah Newlin") will guest-star on The Office as Pam's sister Penny in the episode where Pam marries Jim. She must not have seen the episode where Jim got bit by a bat, then?

Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller and House executive producer Bryan Singer will adapt Augusten Burroughs' Sellevision, about a fictional home-shopping channel, for NBC. Fuller says that there may eventually be product integration, but "in an organic way." Fuller is also working on a half-hour comedy about the staff at a no-kill animal shelter, which will be brought to you by puppies.

And, in other news, the cast of The Real World 10: Washington D.C. is apparently incredibly boring.
