Only a few more weeks before the bulk of last season's TV shows are out on DVD! Only a few more years before every TV show that was ever made is out, as well! So where's The Wizard? Don't make me write letters!
Big Bang Theory: The Complete Second Season
As a comic nerd, I a well aware that I should be watching this show. But do I really need to see it... if I've lived it? I mean, I'm not a physicist, but I do possess a thorough knowledge of fictional comic book elements and alloys. And I don't speak Klingon, but I do know some key phrases. Just enough to get me out of a knife fight. Still, if Jim Parsons is getting nominated for an Emmy, I must be missing something good. Not that Emmy nominations got me to watch Boston Legal, of course...
Bonanza: The Official First Season Vol. 1 & 2
Kid Rock is not a cowboy. He's just barely a rapper. Michael Landon, on the other hand, is a cowboy, and so are his two brothers and his dad. They're a family of cowboys. They live on a ranch, they take care of cows and horses, and they're celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. Season 1 is split into two volumes -- buy them separately or together, but we don't recommend splitting up the family.
Stella: Live In Boston
Michael Showalter. Michael Ian Black. David Wain. Three State alum doing a live version of their stream-of-consciousness Comedy Central show of the same name. This should tide you over until Michael and Michael Have Issues hits stores.
The IT Crowd: The Complete Third Season
This is one of our British series more people should be watching. So you should probably buy it, along with the first two seasons. You know, for appearance's sake.
Doctor Who: The Next Doctor
The 2008 Christmas Special has David Tennant (The Doctor) playing companion to another Doctor (David Morrissey). I smell slash fiction.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 4
Funny stuff. At least as funny as Danny DeVito's Twitter account. And with nearly as much naked Danny DeVito.
