Let's see, what's in the news today... Hmm, nothing really, except a major tabloid scandal! Personal indiscretions aren't usually our beat, but since it happened on television...
David Letterman interrupted his show on Thursday to tell the world that he had recently been blackmailed. A man demanded $2 million from Letterman in exchange for not revealing details of the host's affairs with several women who worked with him. (The man has been arrested.) We aren't terribly surprised to hear about the infidelity, we just can't believe Letterman decided to air his laundry on his comedy show, shortly before talking to Woody Harrelson.
The 100th episode of How I Met Your Mother is fast approaching, and the producers have been looking for an actress to play an important female role in the ep. How important? Well, let's just say it might be the mother. Now, don't move your cursor over the link if you want it to be a big secret, but they've reportedly cast the role, and it's someone you know. You may not like it, but hey, a mother's a mother.
The upcoming NBC series Day One, about people who survive a major catclysm, has suffered a cataclysm of its own, as NBC has reduced its order for the show from a 13-episode series to a four-hour mini-series. Looks like the world ends with a whimper after all.
Classic TV crimefighters The A-Team inches closer to the big screen, as filming begins in Vancouver. Here's a shot of the entire gang on a rooftop. I pity the fool who is not excited about this.
Guest star round-up! Shakira and Christie Brinkley will appear on Ugly Betty, playing herself and the editor of a rival fashion magazine, respectively. Also, Megan Mullally will turn up on Parks & Recreation, playing the ex-wife of boss Ron Swanson. Apparently, she and actor Nick Offerman are married in real life.
This Sunday, a documentary will air on TLC titled My Monkey Baby, about couples who have adopted monkeys, or as some call them... "monkids." ...That word will now haunt my dreams.

Jessica Biel is a general? in the Army?!? That's a joke or a typo, right?
The spoiler about HIMYM isn't the actress they cast, the spoiler is that she might be the mother (but won't be. She'll probably be her friend or sister or pen pal).
