More Glee? Awesome. Less Sarah Michelle Gellar? Terrible. More Elisabeth Moss? Awesome. Yet another Tricia Helfer guest spot? Awesome, but not really a surprise anymore. Oceanic Airlines on Desperate Housewives? Cutesy, but awesome. Awesome wins.

While the cast of Glee appearing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade would have been a great fit, the cast of Glee singing the national anthem at Game 3 of the World Series is... pretty random. Wouldn't the Superbowl have been more appropriate? Oh, well. At least this way, we don't have to sit through two hours of Al Roker and balloon-wrangling clowns to hear them perform.

Look! Up in the sky! It's a giant bird! It's an erratically flying plane! No, it's an enormous, skywritten "V," which ABC will use to promote their remake of V in 26 different locations, starting this Friday and running until the show's Nov. 3 debut. Maybe Oliver Stone should have used skywriting to promote W.

Samuel L. Jackson's production company has set up two new TV shows at CBS, one a sitcom about a woman who inherits her dead husband's Senate seat, and the other a medical drama about an unconventional ER doctor. As executive producer, Jackson will be responsible for making sure there are no motherfucking snakes in the motherfucking ER.

Meanwhile, at the home of non-formulaic TV shows, HBO may have passed on Sarah Michelle Gellar's pilot, The Wonderful Maladys, about a family of eccentric geniuses. Here's some math for you, HBO: E = MF(massive fail)2.

In the category of "Shows that Already Have Theme Songs Picked Out," Fox has picked up a comedy called Rehab, about a man who fakes addiction to follow an old flame-turned-rock star into rehab. That sound you hear is half of Hollywood setting their Tivos.

If you've been looking for a reason to watch Mercy or Two and a Half Men -- we know, that's preposterous -- look for Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss to guest-star on the former on Nov. 4 and Battlestar cylon/guest star enthusiast Tricia Helfer to show up on the latter on Nov. 16.

Can a fictional company make a guest appearance? Because that's what Oceanic Airlines will do on an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives, when one of their planes crash-lands on Wisteria Lane. Wisteria is actually a lot like the Island, in that both have a lot of whispering going on.

Fox is broadcasting the World Series, so the cast of Glee singing the National Anthem actually makes total cross-promoting sense.

Maybe it is just because I love Buffy so much, but Sarah Michelle Gellar can't catch a break. I hope to see her do something again.

And as much as I want to see more Elisabeth Moss, as Mad Men is not utilizing her enough, nothing is going to get me to watch Mercy.

I've always loved SMG, possibly because she's a very private person and you don't see her personal bidness all over Page Six.

I love Tricia Helfer, but no guest star could make me watch Two and a Half Men. I was so excited to see her name, hopefully attached to something better next time.
