Musical guest stars are all the rage today, apparently. But while Gossip Girl is going the totally serious route with Lady Gaga, How I Met Your Mother is going totally ironic with Kenny Rogers. At least, we hope it's ironic. Or involves a Roasters restaurant.

Reality becomes fiction when an episode of Law & Order pits an Octomom stand-in against Jon & Kate clones for a TV show, and somebody dies (hopefully not a kid). But fiction refused to become reality when real-life Gossip Girl Tinsley Mortimer found out that nobody wanted to be her Chuck Bass on a sure-to-be-embarrassing reality show of her life. Sucks to be rich and un-famous, huh?

The Cristina/Owen relationship on Grey's Anatomy will get a shake-up in the ninth episode of this season when Kim Raver joins the cast as a new doc who may be connected to Owen's past. Speaking of the past, Helen Hunt will no longer come out of retirement (she was retired, right?) to take over the Parenthood role vacated by the ailing Maura Tierney. Instead, Lauren Graham is now circling the role.

In a bizarre bit of news, somebody is claiming that the idea for Shaq Vs. was stolen from him. Who would want that information made public? Dude, keep it to yourself.

And finally, Bored to Death was picked up for a second season by HBO. Strange, considering that the general consensus is that the show bores people to... well, you get the idea.
