Katherine Heigl's taking another break, but this time it's for a better reason than last time.
After Katherine Heigl finishes making that awful movie with Josh Duhamel (or maybe she's already finished, I don't stalk the woman), she will be taking another break from filming Grey's Anatomy to spend some time with the little girl she adopted. And Heigl hasn't done anything to annoy me in weeks, so I'm just going applaud her for being a responsible mother and leave this thing the hell alone.
The Who is playing the Super Bowl half-time show next year. Yawn. I'm not arguing that they don't have some great songs and that the usual tendency to pander to the youth demographic for every single televised event isn't extremely annoying and at times misguided -- because they do, and it is -- but still. Yawn.
By now you've probably seen Carrie Prejean take her microphone off yet remain seated on Larry King last night, but just in case you haven't, it is hilarious. Even three-year-olds know how to effectively storm out of a room when they're fussy -- is there anything she can do?
Apparently my concerns that Ugly Betty may be pulled from Friday pasture were for nothing. According to Ausiello, the most likely candidate to fill Eastwick's Wednesday, 10 PM timeslot is now Lost. That makes a lot more sense.
I'm also sick of bitching about Seth MacFarlane lately, but this College Humor parody that exposes how repetitive and dumb his shows are is pretty great.
And I know that movies are different from TV shows, but did you see the trailer for Tina Fey and Steve Carell's movie Date Night? Yack. What a disaster.

Not to get all Women's Studies 101 on a TV forum, but if Katherine Heigl stayed at work (like many women have to), that would make her an irresponsible mom?
If you adopt a kid and can't spend time of it because of 14-hour days in front of a camera, it makes you an irresponsible parent. Pregnancy comes with its own stresses and burdens even before birth, and nothing (especially the due date) is certain. Adoption is paperwork, and you get to pick the date at which you start being a parent. It's fair to say you should be prepared.
Part of being a parent is learning to balance your career with the needs of your kids. A working mom would have at least had maternity leave for her baby to get accustomed to her. Good for her for acknowledging that.
RE: "The Who" Playing at the Super Bowl this year, it should be noted that this year's ball game is going to be on CBS...I'm Calling it now, it's going to be a medley of all 3 CSI Themes, I just know it.
