Casting, casting, casting! Where a woman is a woman and a man is an Elvis impersonator! Where Harry Potter gets animated, and Tim Gunn gets even more legendary! Where a crook becomes a cop, and Ethan Embry is still alive, apparently!
His name is no longer Earl! Former My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee will return to television as the lead in the George Clooney-produced Delta Blues, in which he plays a Memphis cop who is also an Elvis impersonator on the side. While I love Lee and Elvis, and the show sounds fun, I really can't remember ever hearing Lee sing. This frightens me.
Amaury Nolasco, a.k.a. Sucre on Prison Break, will play the detective ex-husband of Radha Mitchell in the pilot for A&E's The Quickening, which is about a bipolar police detective (Mitchell) stuck on desk duty, and not the time when the Highlanders all kill each other. Also, Ethan Embry will play Sarah Shahi's brother on Facing Kate. Can't hardly wait.
Gretchen Mol is trading in 1970s New York for 1920s New Jersey. The former Life on Mars star will play a showgirl in Martin Scorcese's HBO series Boardwalk Empire, which is about the gangster who ran Atlantic City during Prohibition. So Mol is going to play a moll? Fitting.
Super fun guest star lightning round go!
Fred Willard? Modern Family!
Tim Gunn? How I Met Your Mother!
Daniel Radcliffe? The Simpsons!
Brooke Shields? The Middle!
And in case you couldn't get any more excited about the Smallville two-parter that introduces the Justice Society, including Hawkman, it's no longer two episodes, but officially a seamless, two-hour movie event, with its own title: Smallville: Absolute Justice. Since that's already the name of an epic, beautiful Justice League graphic novel, maybe they should have called it Absolut Justice, since the movie will just be one long reason to drink vodka.

Doesn't Jason Lee sing in Almost Famous, or did they use someone else's voice? I honestly can't remember.
Lee sings (badly) in "Alvin and the Chipmunks". He also looks like a doofus playing the guitar.
nobody says he has to be a good elvis impersonator
That's as bad as me calling you Zach Oatmeal.
