Oprah has given notice, and people are just setting themselves on fire in the streets over it. No, I do not know why.
It's apparently big news that Oprah has cemented her show's end date as September 9, 2011, even though we knew she'd end it within the next couple years, and the fact that she will probably just move on to another show. But still, regardless of whether you like her or her show or not, it feels like the end of an era. We will all miss the "Favorite Things," if nothing else.
Lost will not be taking Eastwick's Wednesday night timeslot after all, as it's premiering on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, and not late January as we previously thought. But hey, later start means prolonging the end, so it's bittersweet, I suppose. Also, if you dare to know, a person is coming back, and so is another person, both of which are very exciting.
Because NBC simply doesn't have anything else of equal or better value to air in its place, the previously canceled Trauma just got another three-episode order. Seriously, cable access channels in the middle of Nova Scotia are run better than NBC is currently.
TLC is making a reality show starring mall cops, because Paul Blart: Mall Cop was a box office success and they figure it was people's unyielding interest in the day-to-day activities of rent-a-cops that did it. They're... not that smart, either.
And this little list of Fox characters sharing what they're thankful for, written by the writers of their shows, is pretty funny. I recommend the Glee and Fringe characters' comments in particular, but the Lie to Me ones are pretty good as well. No joke here, just a link that made me laugh. I'm rambling now. I'm sorry, it's Friday.
Oh, and I don't know if you've heard, but Sofia Vergara from Modern Family is kind of an asshole. Exhibit A. Exhibit B. In other news, TWoP is officially Team Julie Bowen in all further matters regarding this issue.

You forgot to mention that "Chuck" is officially coming back to the Peacock on Jan 10th.
Sofia Vergara lacks tact, but she's harmless enough. Julie Bowen overreacted with her little bitch-fest on that show. Not cool.
Julie Bowen used a racial insult toward Sofia Vergara. Honestly, in that View interview, Sofia just seems really nervous, and on The Chelsea Handler Show, it seemed to me that she was saying "Julie Rowen" and that her accent was getting in the way.
Julie Bowen just came off as racist and rude.
Amen, JK. What about Chuck? To me that's the best news of the week!
Thanks for sharing the link to the Fox link, it was adorable! I only wish we had a list that covered other networks ... perhaps a TWoP project next year?
