TV comedy of both the intentional and unintentional varieties is available for sale today. We recommend the intentional kind.

Pale Force
Jim Gaffigan is a hilarious stand-up comedian. Conan O'Brien is a halfway decent talk show host. Together, they're two of the palest people on the face of the Earth. This series of animated shorts from Conan's Late Night years stars Gaffigan and O'Brien as a pair of blindingly white superheroes and picks up where SNL's Ambiguously Gay Duo left off, only with less clothing and slightly less gay innuendo. This collection includes all 33 episodes as well as making-of footage and Gaffigan's appearances on Late Night.

Better Off Ted: Season One
If you didn't watch Better Off Ted's first season, you really should. It's only 13 episodes long, and despite the generically punny title, it's one of the funniest sitcoms to come along in a while, if you like heightened-reality single-camera workplace comedies. Basically, the show is a continuation of themes explored in Andy Richter Controls the Universe, but with a much better-looking lead character. And Portia Di Rossi is spectacular as the nigh-emotionless boss who's constantly passing along more and more ridiculous demands from her corporate masters. The new season starts December 8th -- you still have time!

Saturday Night Live: The Complete 5th Season
Speaking of SNL, Season 5 may have been the first without John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, but the 1979-1980 season still had Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin and Garrett Morris, and it even added Harry Shearer to the mix. And with guest hosts Bea Arthur, Burt Reynolds, Bob Newhart and Chevy Chase, as well as musical performances by the B-52s, the J. Geils Band, David Bowie and Blondie, it's definitely worth a watch.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: XVI
You can't argue with four movies, titled Warriors of the Lost World, Night of the Blood Beast, The Corpse Vanishes and Santa Claus, all of which are made fun of by robots, especially when they come with a figurine of robot Tom Servo himself. It's the gift that keeps you warm at night, because you just peed yourself with excitement and/or laughter.

Mental: The Complete First Season
I honestly can't tell you what this show was about. Good-looking doctor investigating mental disorders? Is that right? Pure guesswork.

Also out this week:
The Donna Reed Show: Season 3 The discs in this set are served on a silver tea tray, in dainty china.
WWE: Jeff Hardy -- My Life, My Rules Do not try to impose your own rules on wrestler Jeff Hardy's life. His hair can be whatever color he wants it to be.
Ben 10: Alien Swarm From young animated boy to real-life teenager... how our Ben has grown.
The Complete Love Comes Softly Collection Eight Hallmark Channel movies in one box. Can cause dehydration in the overly weepy.
