Why Can't Heroes Be This Watchable All the Time? I'm sick of futilely kicking Heroes while it's down, for the moment, and since it's a holiday week for us Americans, I thought I'd point out something the show actually did well for once. If you saw last night's episode you know that the Bennet modern family Thanksgiving was one of the most unironically enjoyable scenes on the show in years. No exaggeration there - I honestly haven't unabashedly enjoyed a few minutes of Heroes that much in literally years. So in honor of cranberry sauce and pumpkin beer, I'd like to publicly declare that I am thankful for whoever wrote this scene, HRG, Sandra, Sandra's new foppish boyfriend, Claire's awesome and very funny facial expressions, surprisingly, and, even more surprisingly, Elisabeth Rohm, who is a much better actress on this show than she ever has been on any other. See how good the show is when you focus on HRG and include Sandra in things, Heroes? Learn from this scene, Kring! And you playing along at home can watch the little party in two parts, below.

Part 1:

Part Deux:

Oh, and on the off-chance that anybody reading this also happened to see Sunday's Dexter, isn't it a crazy coincidence that both shows had a weird guy forcing a family to go around saying what they're thankful for, and that both shows had an outsider at the table saying they were thankful for yams? Blew my mind, I don't mind telling you.

I noticed the yams reference in both shows also, and I had the same reaction.

The reason the scene worked for me was the return of Mr. Muggles...I hope Heroes shows the dog having picked up Claire's regenerative powers after licking her blood off the floor in season two. The reaction from Sandra's new BF

I stopped watching after season 2, so I was mostly wondering where Claire's bro was?

They had some throwaway line about her brother, like he's at school...or something...

I'm with Marisa...I kept wondering where Lyle was. When there was a knock at the door, I knew it would be Gretchen (ick), but I was secretly hoping it would be Lyle asking his mom why she left him at the airport.
