Lots and lots of True Blood casting news has come down the pipeline over the past couple months (mostly of the groan-illiciting Prison Break alumni variety), but today there's finally something we can get behind: Kristin Bauer, who plays the awesome Pam, has finally been bumped up to a series regular. Two seasons late, but I still appreciate it.
Even Kenan Thompson knows SNL needs more black people. He didn't specifically say they need a black woman -- even though they most certainly do -- but he's probably just scared she'll try to take Whoopi from him. And "Honeychild I ain't takin' off my Crocs!" isn't a line that could be said by just anybody, so you can't argue he doesn't have a point.
In other SNL news, that holiday special they're doing on the 17th will be hosted by Kristen Wiig -- as Gilly. It will even be called SNL Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas. I think Gilly's funny, but I know most people want to murder her, so I'm sorry if this ruins the SNL holiday special for you.
The History Channel has ordered their first competition show, Top Shot, in which contestants will participate in shooting challenges based on real events in history, like famous Wild West saloon battles, Waterloo, or the Herpes instructions rap from Rock of Love Bus. Guns, history, reality show. Neato. Who put me in charge of The History Channel?
Yet another entry in the annals of Bonnie Hunt can't catch a break -- her talk show was canceled. Maybe we could find her another medium to love for Christmas? Because television just isn't her world.
And I can't imagine any of you really cares, but Audrina will indeed be back on The Hills next season. If you don't know who she is, you are living the very charmed life I envy.
