Sick of hearing about the Leno/Conan feud? Well, the Internet sure isn't! On the bright side, there's so much TV news today that you can get yourself excited about something you actually watch.
Jerry Seinfeld has entered the Leno/Conan battle, but mostly to promote his new show, The Marriage Ref, a horribly exploitative reality show about couples suffering through marital problems.
NBC is in development to create Law & Order: Los Angeles. It looks like the show will return for a 21st season, making it the longest running prime time drama of all time. The network has also picked up pilots for six new dramas, making that a grand total of ten for NBC.
While Simon Cowell plans to launch a U.S. version of The X-Factor, rumors are spreading that the judge may leave American Idol after this season. Will this lead to the spinoff American Idol: Judges? Does that even make sense? Time will tell!
UPDATE: Cowell has officially announced that he is leaving Idol after this season!
In spinoff news, Top Chef: Just Desserts has announced that Gail Simmons will host the pastry-centric competition. Meanwhile, Oxygen has two new shows in the works:
We're also excited to learn that Mel B. will host the new season of Dance You Ass Off. The former Spice Girl lost 90 lbs while on Dancing With the Stars, making her a bit of an ass-dancing-off veteran.
Dana Carvey is shooting a pilot for FOX with his sketch comedy partner Spike Feresten. Well, isn't that special?
Matt LeBlanc will be starring as himself in an upcoming Showtime series. Premiering later in the year, Episodes is about a fictional hit British comedy that is turned into an American sitcom. Here's hoping Ricky Gervais will make a cameo.
In what has been described as "Chucking awesome," Scott Bakula will join the cast of Chuck for several episodes, reprising his role as Steve.
You may have been forbidden to Hassel the Hoff, but now that Howie Mandel is a new host for America's Got Talent, feel free to Man the Del. Seriously, though, don't touch him.
And finally, nerds everywhere rejoice as Stan Lee cameos on The Big Bang Theory!
