Today's news is best enjoyed to the tune of War's "Why Can't We Be Friends?" People may only be reuniting because of money and contract obligations, but the important thing is that we stay one big happy family, at least until Lost comes back on Tuesday. Do whatever you want after that; the rest of the world will be too busy to care about your paycheck.
Breaking News: ABC cancels Ugly Betty! The network has cut the order back for the series, making this the final season. Aw... does mean she'll be stuck with those braces forever?
Aw, Conan's already making amends with NBC! The network has picked up Conaco's Justice, a drama following a Supreme Court judge who quits to start his own legal practice. Okay, so it was technically part of O'Brien's contract settlement to continue operating at NBC until the end of the development season, but la la la I can't hear you.
After several tense days of negotiations and Internet rumors, MTV has reportedly agreed to pay the Jersey Shore cast-members $10,000 each. I am very fond of the Summer of '09 crew, but realistically, they're not irreplaceable. I grew up in Central Jersey and let me tell ya, there are plenty of frisky, shore-loving 20-somethings with whom America could easily fall in love. Just sayin'.
Brothers & Sisters takes another hit (post-Rob Lowe's announced exit) with the news that Calista Flockhart will be working on a reduced schedule next season, giving the Walker family plenty to talk about.
Real-life friends and CW stars Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and Nina Dobrev (Vampire Daries) may guest star on each other's shows. Here's hoping Vanessa is somehow chomped to death by a vampire as a result of the swap.
Write your own damn "It's a good thing" joke: The Martha Stewart Show is moving to the Hallmark Channel.

NBC have picked up Conaco's Justice? It would be pretty funny if they aired it Mon-Fri at 10pm to finally achieve record-breaking ratings.
Fist pumps all around!
I'd like to see Leighton hook up with Damon. Maybe break his cold little heart. But personally, the Elena character is my least favorite part of Vampire Diaries. Maybe Gossip Girl could actually make Nina seem interesting.
Who actually watches Brother's and Sisters. Really. I've never met anyone that has. Not a joke.
Martha? I've got nothing.
For readers who are too young to recall - or who just weren't very interested, at the time - it may help you to read some background on the infamous 'Letterman vs Leno' feud. Here's a detailed article explaining how Jay Leno took over Johnny Carson's job as host of the 'The Tonight Show', way back in 1993.

LATE BREAKING (But seriously, we could see this coming from miles away) NEWS: ABC Has just announced that they have canceled "Ugly Betty" after 4 Years. A Finale episode will air later this spring.
Thanks for the link, very informative and well-balanced article.
And JK, thanks for the news although it's pretty sad. I enjoy Ugly Betty still, but its lack of media attention and prob. big budget (for guests stars, fashions, great sets and Caribbean trip) prob. made it inevitable. Too bad crappy shows like 21/2 Men and CSIs go on forever....
