Just as last November brought us a Wilson-centric House episode, tonight we'll be seeing an all-Cuddy one. We're just running through everybody, apparently. In support of the episode, Lisa Edelstein participated in a conference call to defend her job performance at PPTH that everyone hates, her relationship with Lucas that everyone hates, and also to address the
Here's a childhood song that rings true in today's TV news: Rumors, rumors, are no fun. Rumors, rumors, scare people into believing that Howard Stern will be on network television.
With the season premiere of Lost offering us looks at two very different scenarios -- a safe plane landing and a post-bomb fallout life on the island - we got to thinking about what would have happened if some of our other shows had chosen different paths at key turning points. It might have improved their quality immeasurably, or at least kept them from going completely off the rails. Here are the alternate realities we wish we could've seen:
There is so much news today, I almost forgot that we're only five days away from the next episode of Lost! Could you possibly imagine?
Today's special is TV news, with three side dishes available: new pilots, silly law suits, or one small order of Bikini Boy.
His return to Hollywood stardom after an extended absence was a rapid one, but Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, Semi-Pro, Watchmen) quickly surprised everyone by taking a role in the new action series Human Target. Playing computer expert Guerrero, Haley backs up the titular Christopher Chance, and Haley seems to be having a hell of a time. Here's a tough question: If you were stranded on a deserted island, with which of the celebrities mentioned in today's news would you like to get stuck?
Evangeline Lilly has said in the past that she doesn't plan on continuing her acting career after Lost ends, and with the show's final season premiering tonight (!!), that story has resurfaced, and she's sticking to it. Which is perfectly understandable; she's made her money, she's not passionate about acting, and she did the respectable thing by not quitting in the middle of it when she was somehow miserable in Hawaii. (I'm not a Kate fan, but at least she didn't Rob Lowe or Mandy Patinkin the show by throwing a tantrum and leaving prematurely.) So happy trails to Evangeline Lilly after May. These people should really get inspired and do the same.
As the world girds itself for the final season of Lost, they have something else to get ready to say good-bye to besides the greatest TV show of the last decade. They can say good-bye to Matthew Fox, because he says he's done with television after this. Now, we're all for the man wanting to do more with his career, but we're not sure swearing off the medium he's been working in for so long is the way to go. Here are just a few reasons why Fox may want to issue a retraction.
We're still in the "slow season" for TV on DVD releases, but there are a few DVDs worth mentioning and a bunch worth making fun of.
