When news broke today that A&E picked up a scripted series called Sugarloaf, I was excited to see what the show was going to be about. Despite the hilarious title, Sugarloaf sounds like the typical run-of-the-mill drama: "Jim Longworth, a brilliant-but-difficult Chicago homicide detective who is wrongfully accused of sleeping with his former captain's wife and forced into exile. Longworth relocates to Sugarloaf, a sleepy Gulf Coast resort town in Florida where life can be less beautiful than it first seems." What a letdown! Here's what I imagine a series titled Sugarloaf would be like on other channels.
Food Network: Docu-series where the cameras follow Meatloaf around while he visits his favorite bakeries, ice cream parlors, and candy shops.
FX: Drama revolving around a gritty former private eye from the '70s, who comes back from retirement to bust up an L.A. gang of which he was the founder.
Discovery: One-hour special presentation that gives an inside look at what's really going into your white bread.
ABC Family: Comedy about a rock band of four tweens as they rise to fame while trying to balance boys and homework.
TLC: Docu-soap about the wacky family who runs Maine's famous Sugarloaf ski resort.
BBC America: Dramedy about a government-hit-man-turned-baker, trying to start a new life.
Bravo: Docu-soap that gives an inside look at the president of kid's advertising at Nickelodeon.
Oxygen: Reality series where in each episode, host Lisa Rinna helps a woman who is often fooled by diet pitfalls. The show teaches viewers such lessons as the nutritional value of buying whole grain instead of whole wheat.
MTV: "Unscripted" reality series about the dwindling lives of the former members of Sugarcult.
Cartoon Network: Appearing on Adult Swim, animated shorts about a kid whose head is made of candy.
VH1: Dating show where women compete for the love of retired millionaire Master Gee (best known for his work, "Rapper's Delight," with the Sugar Hill Gang). The weekly challenges are based around what Gee enjoys the very most -- eating bread.

I'd watch the Food Network one! And maybe the FX one.
I watch them ALL!
Sugarcult is still together... Just FYI LOL. So there is really only one former member...
